Effective April 1, 2009
Effective April 1, 2009, the Trustees introduced a new
benefit under the Health & Welfare Plan – a Member &
Family Assistance Plan. This benefit provides you and
your family with immediate, confidential help for any
concern. It’s a voluntary support service that can help
you solve all kinds of problems and challenges that you
may face in life.
Support can be provided over the phone, in person,
online, and through a variety of issue-based health and
wellness resources. The benefit is completely
confidential within the limits of the law. No one,
including your employer or your union, will ever know
that you or someone from your family has used the
service unless you choose to tell them. There is no
cost to use the benefit and there is no limit to the
number of available hours to deal with your concerns;
even for more complex issues.

The program can help you achieve personal well-being,
manage relationships and family, obtain legal and
financial clarity, understand proper nutrition, address
workplace challenges, and tackle addictions. |
